Clear Business promises to beat the renewal quote provided by any current supplier for businesses coming to the end of their current contract. Another unique selling point is their promise to fix your prices and avoid any price rises for at least three years of your contract with them.

They’re Green

The electricity provided by Clear Business comes from 100% renewable energy sources at no extra cost to you. Having recently increased renewable sources of electricity by over 70%, they can back up their promise of providing electricity generated from 100% renewable energy sources.

Many fear that green energy tariffs are more expensive, but Clear Business can dispel that myth by offering green energy to valued customers at no extra cost.

Using green energy allows your business to reduce its carbon footprint and do its part to protect the planet. By choosing Clear Business green energy, the average customer can save 4.57 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of planting 2285 trees every year.

Customer Service

Clear Business believe in the importance of good customer service and stand by their word by crediting your account with £30.00 within 10 working days if they miss an arranged appointment relating to your gas or electricity and don’t let you know in advance. If they fail to credit your account within 10 working days, then they claim to credit a further £30.00 on top of the first payment.

Their customer service department is always ready to accept your call where an experienced team member will be eager to assist you.

A quick search across Trustpilot and Glass Door for customer reviews throws up a mix of fairly positive reviews. They score four out of five stars in most departments but there are a few bad reviews worth note where clients have struggled to get in touch with anyone when dealing with incorrect bills.

  1. Over charge and poor service

    Horrible service throughout my contract. I left them months ago and they kept charging me. Three times I rang them and they said they would sort the problem, and each time they said it would take a further THREE MONTHS to sort the problem. A few days ago they said I should cancel the direct debit so that I don’t have to pay any more. I did so.
    Today I received a threatening letter saying I owed them £21 and hadn’t paid despite repeated requests (NO PREVIOUS REQUESTS HAD BEEN MADE!). I rang up to contested this and was told it would be another three months.

  2. Dreadful company

    My monthly direct debit was £30. Claimed they wrote a letter switching me to a variable direct debit then drew down £2000 on the day my business closed for the Coronavirus crisis. I know I probably was paying too little and suspect I owe several hundred pounds. When I phoned they even admitted what they had done was wrong but claimed a refund would take 28 days. I am happy to pay what I owe but their behaviour was despicable and threatened the well being of me and my family at a very stressful time. Avoid at all costs.

  3. Do not trust Clear Business with Direct Debit information

    I made the mistake of signing with these guys last year. The service was appalling after so many promises of a cheaper and faster broadband. I eventually got them to admit them failing to provide the service provided after months of stress from losing clients and jobs due to being unable to deliver files for print or get them to clients on time they cut the broadband account without cancellation fees. They then withdrew £360 out of my account. I would advise staying well clear of these and definitely do not sign up for direct debit with them, I’ve seen many accounts of people losing a lot of money this way to them.

  4. Horrific

    Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Clear Business Water owe my business a refund on a waste water account. A year later and I’m still frighting for it. Avoid.
