What is a No Credit Check Loan?

Loans without a credit check do not exist, in most cases, and this is for a good reason. Credit checks are a part of lending responsibility and help ensure that you can afford repayments.

However, that does not mean that you cannot get a loan. Most people wanting a loan without being credit checked are worried about their credit history or have already been unsuccessful when applying for a loan elsewhere.

Although mainstream lenders require borrowers to have good credit profiles, there are a number of options for people with less than perfect credit profiles too.

Will I be eligible for a loan?

The best way to find out is to check using the compare button below. You will be taken to Choose Wisely’s comparison service where a soft search will be made that can tell you which lenders will offer you a loan prior to completing a full application which would involve a hard search and therefore be visible on your credit history. Using Choose Wisely’s “get accepted” tool comes as close to a no credit check loan as possible.

How do I know if I have bad credit?

A good way to see your credit score and report is to sign up to one of the many free services available including ClearScore and Experian. These services can help you identify any problems on your report which you then may be able to fix/address. There are cases where errors have been made on credit reports which can damage a person’s ability to get credit without them being aware of the erroneous entry.

Should I take out a bad credit loan?

We cannot advise you on this, however we can tell you that bad credit loans come at higher than usual rates of interest, making your monthly and overall repayment amounts higher. A high interest loan is not something to be entered into lightly and you should only consider it if you really have no other option.

Have you seen no credit check loans elsewhere?

If you have seen promises of no credit check loans then you should exercise extreme caution as they may not be regulated by the FCA. Choose Wisely, whom we our partnered with, only compare loans from FCA regulated lenders.
