Finding that perfect van for your needs is difficult, especially when you consider van insurance costs. There is nothing more disheartening than finding the perfect van, only to find out that the insurance premiums are completely out of your price range.

To help you find cheap van insurance, we’ve searched through the UK’s insurance database to find the cheapest vans to insure in 2018:

    1. Citroen Berlingo
One of the most popular compact vans on the market is the Citroen Berlingo. One of its major benefits is that it falls into insurance group 1E, one of the cheapest possible groups. This applies to both the 95PS 1.6-litre petrol engine and the 75PS and 90PS versions of the 1.6-litre HDi diesel unit.
    2. Peugeot Partner
This Peugeot model is actually almost identical to the Citroen Berlingo under the hood, so unsurprisingly it finds its place in the very lowest insurance group, 1E. The Partner has been the van of choice for tradespeople who need to transport materials and equipment ever since 2008, when it first rolled off the line.
    3. Vauxhall Combo
One of the newer cars on our list is the 2012 Combo from Vauxhall. Occupying the rock-bottom spot of group 1E, this seriously roomy load bay, compact van comes in the 90PS 1.3-litre CDTi diesel engine. Efficient Ecoflex variants are also available.
    4. Vauxhall Corsavan
Vans are made more compact and more efficient these days, which is evident in our other new van, the Corsavan. From 2015, this van by Vauxhall warrants its 1E rating for its 70PS 1.2-litre petrol model. This isn’t a basic model either, the Corsavan comes very well equipped as standard; with a DAB digital radio, electric windows and fully adjustable steering wheel.
    5. Dacia Duster Commercial
This commercial vehicle from Dacia is almost identical to their passenger car version, except for some missing back seats. Starting in group 1A makes the Dacia model an incredibly cheap option to insure.
