Our story

Why Quote Goat exists

Quote Goat launched in 2014 with a simple goal: help UK consumers and businesses save money on insurance and personal finance. It was founded by Michael Foote, a former City finance professional who had grown frustrated with how little transparency there was in the comparison market.

Many comparison sites are owned by insurers, banks or large media groups, and rankings can quietly reflect commercial relationships rather than what is best for the customer. We built Quote Goat as an independent alternative — 100% privately owned, answering to nobody but the people who use it.

More than a decade on, we are still independent, still London-based, and still ranking providers on suitability, price and service.

We will always remain 100% impartial

Providers are ranked on suitability for you, not on the commission they pay. No paid placements dressed up as recommendations.
